Provided individual therapy in English and Spanish to adolescents ages 12-17 in school and office-based settings. Conducted suicide assessments for school-aged youthProvided Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) to youth touched by the justice system or at risk of removal from their homes. MST is an intensive, evidence-based in-home family counseling for youth (aged 11-17) who exhibit high risk behaviors. The goal is to keep kids home and safe by supporting families and other stakeholders with sustainably modifying their behavior. Behaviors I worked with included: verbal and physical aggression, truancy, suicidal ideation, and substance use as well as acts of sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Coordinated a Municipal Women’s Network covering all 10 villages within the Municipality of San Lucas with the ultimate goal of preventing gender-based violence (GBV) and empowering women through economic independence.Organized and trained 24 community leaders from the areas of health, business, the environment, and education to form a Municipal Development Council with support from the Food and Agricultural Organiza on (FAO). This Council assumed responsibility for prioritizing community projects like construction and repairs of classrooms as well as implementing campaigns to teach the community about better farming techniques and dengue fever prevention.Developed curriculum and trained 15 students to teach peers about HIV/AIDS, Drugs and Alcohol Awareness, and Climate Change. My students went on to teach 110 of their peers by the end of the school year.
