Navistar’s Engine Group generates $3-$4 billion of sales with manufacturing facilities located in North America (Illinois, Indiana, Alabama) and Brazil. Profitability within this business unit is driven by cost effective product design, purchasing expertise, and lean manufacturing. Selected accomplishments include:Oversaw the re-creation of financial statements triggered by enterprise wide financial restatement.• Integrated South American $400 million engine business acquisition into one consolidated business unit, creating the largest independent diesel engine business in Brazil.• Developed and implemented strategies to exit unprofitable joint venture agreements. Directed development/implementation of control testing criteria that ensured accurate financial reporting.• Implemented ad-hoc financial planning model to support strategic growth in period of financial distress.• Led initiative to reorganize business unit overhead to reduce cost by 10% ahead of 2008 financial crisis.• Effectively recruited, retained and motivated team to drive results over a three-year financial restatement during financial crisis.

Navistar Financial Corporation is the captive finance subsidiary of Navistar that operates in the U.S, and Mexico and provides wholesale financing to its dealers and retail financing to its end customers. Selected accomplishments include:• Led the refinancing of $5.0 billion portfolio with a series of integrated financing actions, culminated by closing an expanded revolving line of credit at lower costs, and expanded group of banks. • Restructured capital structure that established base to implement strategic growth and achievement of record profitability.
