Alan J Cohen is an American energy leader and geoscientist. He has worked on all continents and is interested in opportunities to lead, enable and accelerate US energy dominance, with fossil energy and value-added renewables. The solutions must be profitable, scalable, and sustain over time. This can be the foundation of a smart energy transition.Dr Cohen has served as a Program Director at the United States National Science Foundation on regional innovation ecosystems. Previously, he worked at the University of Louisiana as Innovation Mangement Director, Senior Executive at the United States Department of Energy, Chief Geophysicist at Royal Dutch Shell, and Senior Business Advisor at high-tech companies focused on profitable renewable energy and advanced oil and gas technology.
