My math teacher in primary school told me I excel in solving the most difficult problems but tend to overcomplicate the easier ones. She had a point. I realised during my study of mathematics that I prefer x's, y's and z's over simple numbers. My affection towards variables and challenging problems thrived the most when learning about programming concepts and algorithms. Therefore, my first job as a developer of mobile applications was not a surprise. As I was always intrigued by complex systems and wanted to learn more about finance, I joined the Slovenian central bank in a search for new opportunities. I started my career in risk management where I was working on benchmarking and strategic asset allocation processes. Allured by financial markets and immense possibilities for quantitative development I eventually moved to the dealing room. I manage an euro-denominated portfolio, develop tools to enhance the portfolio management process and do research on investment topics. Being reliable, capable of managing diverse tasks and quick to grasp new concepts I prosper in roles of an asset manager, quantitative analyst and researcher. But now more than ever there is ingenuity, perseverance and endeavour for excellence found in every problem I solve. Even when not behind the screens, I am fascinated with everything there is to discover, learn and experience. You can find me exploring the underwater world, breathing fresh air in the mountains, dancing cuban salsa, singing aria antica or just threading my sewing machine at home. I try to embrace every challenge that comes my way and improve continuously.
