Aimee is a Philippine Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over five (5) years of professional experience in government accounting and auditing. She is currently working as a state auditing examiner, engaged in the financial and compliance audits of government agencies under the Health and Science Cluster under the Commission on Audit (COA), an independent constitutional commission that oversees the audit of the Philippine government subdivision, agencies, and instrumentalities. Her professional experience includes the audits and review of financial statements, internal controls and special programs in accordance with various applicable standards, including focusing on: (1) verifying the level of assurance that may be placed on Management’s assertions on the financial statements, (2) evaluating the extent of compliance with laws, rules and regulations as well as propriety and validity of transactions, (3) recommending measures to improve the economy and efficiency of the agency’s operations, and (4) determining the extent of implementation of prior year’s audit recommendations.She is technically competent in the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), which is the localized version of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
