• Secretary to Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Board of Directors• Secretary to Oversight Committee constituted by SECP for supervision of Joint Inspection of Brokers• Assist in regulatory and policy matters of PSX by formulating new rules & regulations and updating existing PSX regulations in light of international best practices, local market requirements and suitable feedback received from stakeholders• Prepare information or responses as requested by the regulatory agencies• Engage in consultation process with the market participants and SECP and other SRO in respect of new or any amendment to the existing proposal, procedures or policies for effective implementation.• Monitor self-compliance of PSX with applicable regulatory requirements and report findings regularly.• Conduct regulatory training and awareness sessions for the market participants• Work on special assignments relating to development of local capital market as assigned by the Chief Regulatory Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer

Roles & Responsibilities: Assist in continuously reviewing Laws, Regulations, Policies and Procedures and market practices in light of international best practices and applicable regulatory frameworks for the development and risk management of equity, derivatives, and debt market securities;  Assist in processing regulatory amendments as proposed by the Self Regulatory Organizations of capital market and submit recommendations that safeguard interests of the general investors; Conduct research to suggest improvements in new and existing policies/ practices and various proposals for development of debt and equity market of Pakistan in line with international trends; Prepare background material including analytical reports and statistical calculations for processing the proposals for regulatory and financial products of capital market;

 Conducted primary and secondary research to understand business model and economic sustainability of fisheries sector of Pakistan; Studied various functions of Pakistan Fisheries Forum and prepared a template for its annual report; Formulated a detailed report containing recommendation for promoting the fisheries sector in light of international best practices and local market conditions.

 Understand the monetary and foreign exchange functions of SBP during rotation phase, Prepared a term report on Small and Medium sector of Pakistan outlining in detail the fundamental issues associated with this sector and recommendation for the growth in light of various international benchmarks.
