As the Marketing Director for the Detroit Public Library (DPL), the largest public library system in the State of Michigan serving roughly 700,000 residents with 22 locations, I consistently deliver impactful messaging which resonates with our citizens and partners to showcase and enhance what we have to offer as a public library, and most importantly, as a community. In addition, I engage and motivate my management and creative team through leading by example and my motto: ‘Make it Happen!’As the Official Spokesperson and Liaison for the DPL, I’m often the first point of contact to advise, educate, and disseminate accurate information to our governmental, corporate, media and community partners. Equally important, as it relates to community outreach and development, I have been afforded a dearth of knowledge and understanding through direct engagement with the citizens of Detroit. I have an affinity to serve the public, which has been intensified and fine-tuned throughout my years of experience.
