Department Of Public Safety

As a Student Patrol Officer I assist the department with patrolling the campus and serving as a liaison between the department and the student body. This falls in line with the departments belief of CSOP (Community Service Oriented Patrolling) where we work as part of the college community to keep it a safe place. My responsibilities include locking buildings at night, walking escorts with students who may not feel safe walking alone at night, assisting students who are locked out of their dorm rooms, and serving as a point of contact for students with public safety related questions or concerns.
