 Review of approved credits for quality, performance and compliance with approved terms and conditions in line with the Bank’s Credit Policy. Monitoring of special conditions in credit facilities and escalation of exceptions / non-compliance Identification of deteriorating accounts for Prudential Classification and transfer to Credit Remedial/Recovery. Ensure that limits are monitored, incomes, fees, maturing repayments anniversary charges are captured. Detection and escalation of un-authorized credits. Implementation of policy driven Credit related Sanctions. Preparation of Exception Reports & Imminent Maturity Report Detection and identification of warning signals (e.g. Diversion of fund , Non-repayment of rentals, Un-authorized Credits etc.) and flagging of such likely problems before they crystallize. Ensuring strict adherence to appropriate capturing of all incomes, fees and other charges after credit disbursement. Regular rendition of weekly, monthly and quarterly exceptions reports to Divisional Head, Credit Monitoring. All other activities as delegated by the Divisional Head, Credit Monitoring.

 Development of new product programmes (Retail, SME’s, Commercial) within UBA Nigeria and UBA Africa Subsidiaries by Interfacing with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and then subsequent deployment of the approved product programmes. Periodic review of the terms and conditions of existing product programmes within UBA Nigeria and UBA Africa Subsidiaries in conjunction with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs). Ensuring market awareness and understanding of the product programmes through regular sensitization memos, FAQs and enquiry management. Ensuring timely review of requests for amendment of product programmes terms and conditions. Ensuring timely and accurate product mapping to the GL for ease of monitoring through the creation of scheme codes. Monitoring of product programmes performance on periodic basis to determine weaknesses with a view to strengthening the product programmes. Monitoring the performance of individual product programmes against set performance benchmarks to maintain NPL ratio of 2%. Conducting market intelligence on competing product offerings and market trends. Educating Business Offices on product programmes dynamics.

 Disbursement of Loans and Overdrafts to customers. Meticulous monitoring and evaluation of customers’ performance on credit facilities availed to them. Appropriate classification of accounts performance based on CBN’s prudential guidelines. Logical and methodical packaging of credit requests for Executive and Board management’s approval. Overseeing all components of daily credit analysis to determine customer’s credit worthiness. Ensuring compliance with regulatory provisions as they relate to credit.

 Making payment demand calls to delinquent account holders. Monitoring and ensuring that payments are made on Non Performing Loans and delinquent accounts. Daily and prompt escalations as well as review and follow through of account cases requiring Retail lending /Business Office intervention to the appropriate Risk/ Business units. Identifying reasons for account delinquencies and updating Loan collections applications with information on calls while ensuring prompt and accurate capturing of all collections efforts. Follow through on collection contact to ensure that amount due is paid. Enlightening and educating customers on account charges and balances.

 Reconciliation and Management of clients’ accounts pertaining to stock trading  Monitoring of investment transactions carried out during stock trading. Account Opening for customers for the purpose of stock trading.
