➤ Led the engineering org for Words with Friends with 70+ members across San Francisco and Toronto.➤ Words with Friends is a $200M+ business and has enjoyed a double-digit YoY revenue growth over the last 1 year while under my helm at engineering.➤ Collaborating with the core leadership team to plan and define the product roadmap for the game on all the supported platforms like Mobile, Web and FB Messenger.➤ Supervising a team of technical direct reports including a director, a senior engineering manager, and multiple architects.➤ Working in a fast-paced and constantly changing creative environment while ensuring milestones are consistently met.

➤ Led a backend team of 10 engineers in San Francisco and Toronto for games like Words with Friends, Boggle with Friends and Crossword with Friends.➤ Recruited and developed high-performing creative individuals and assisted them in joining the game-making process.➤ Managed a team of technical leaders both on the backend development and the infrastructure side.➤ Drove the technical roadmap for the team and provided guidance on operational enhancements, software stack modernization, and new feature development.➤ Incorporated best in class unit testing and device automation solutions into current engineering process.➤ Led all projects by example with the hands-on effort needed to see initiatives through to high quality completion.

➤ Served as the CTO for Zynga’s Farmville mobile product and managed the San Francisco engineering team of 4 individuals.➤ Applied a strong knowledge of game development principles, theories, and contemporary game trends in the mobile space.➤ Guided the team on software architecture planning and design, operations, and new feature development while focusing on team health and morale.➤ Worked closely with production to manage development schedules, bug tracking and delivered high quality software updates to the product every two weeks.

➤ Worked as an individual contributor on Zynga Studios games like YoVille, CastleVille, PetVille, and Treasure Isle.➤ Worked closely with multiple disciplines and delivered high quality gameplay by applying proven software development practices both on the client and backend.➤ Coauthored the Zynga multi-tenancy gaming services platform and received a patent US10182460B2 for the same.➤ Collaborated with the platform team to provide all Zynga games shared game microservices as well as user identity and analytics solutions.➤ Created the Zynga game state storage and leaderboards services that are used by almost all Zynga games, and handled more than 2 billion calls daily.
