WHAT DO I DO?Well it depends on the time of the day you ask me. I could be fulfilling my role as a husband, dad, son, brother or a friend. You might even find me striving to fulfill the role of a coach, a mentor or a guide. Some of the most gratifying moments in life have been to know that I have been a positive influence on another human being. To me, it is always about learning and growing. Success is in the process of achieving. Life is not worth living when you do not have goals to shoot for. Anyway, coming back to what I do. For most, I am a Mechanical Engineer with a strong and demonstrated experience in product development and R&D in several different industries. It all started off with working in the Centrifugal compressor industry and me learning about what goes into separating air into the various gases that form it. From there I moved onto designing boost pumps for airplanes. I am sure you have flown in one of the planes that I have touched the design of the pump on. Life then took me along to work in a field that was very rewarding. At Akron Brass I got the opportunity to work on several firefighting products. The privilege of designing products directly involved in saving lives came with a great responsibility and fulfillment. Every time you see a fire truck there is a good chance that I have touched one of the water dispensing equipment on it. With Levolor, I was lucky to find an amazing group of people to work with (there are always a few exceptions ;). A company with a truly great culture where you are part of a family. This was my first foray into the consumer goods industry and it’s been a great journey. Don’t let these simple looking shades and blinds fool you. These are deceptively simple and innocent looking but very challenging and fun products to work with.
