About Ajit Sahoo, Phd

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at Morgan State University. My project is funded by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). My major goals are as follows:a. Setting up second harmonic measurements and measuring AHE and two-Omega AHE in spin-orbit torque structures made of Ta/FeCoB/Pt multilayers.b. Setting up field-modulated FMR experiments and conducting angle-dependent FMR and ISHE studies on Ta/FeCoB/Pt multilayers.c. Exploring SMR measurements at ambient temperature in bilayer thin films.Here are my research interests and expertise:=> Setting up the field-modulated ferromagnetic resonance, ISHE, and second-harmonics measurements=> Magneto transport properties using Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS) instrument => Growth of magnetic thin film and multilayer by magnetron sputtering and electron beamevaporation=> High-resolution, noise-free imaging with magnetic force microscopy (MFM) and magnetooptic Kerr effect (MOKE) microscopy=> Magnetic skyrmion in multilayer and its externally induced manipulation=> High-density data storage with magnetic multilayer, having perpendicular magneticanisotropy=> Understanding perpendicular exchange spring system with MFM at low temperatures andhigh magnetic field=> Data analysis of structural and magnetic characterizations with XRD, XRR, VSM, SQUID,FESEM, TEM, and PNR=> Finite difference and finite element method-based micromagnetic simulationsWith extensive research experience and a passion for pushing scientific boundaries, I am eager to contribute my expertise to advancements in the semiconductor industry and make meaningful contributions to the development of new materials and technologies.
