I am shareholder of this business and its subsidiaries, including United Kara Quarry. Over a period of six years during height of the GFC, we successfully developed several greenfield and brownfield sites.

I joined the Board in 2008 when the Northland Rugby Union was facing financial difficulties and was instrumental in the financial turnaround of the union. In the past six years the Union has reported a positive surplus and built a sustainable entity. I was appointed as Chairman in 2014. It is a privilege to give back to my community through this voluntary.

Key achievements include facilitating the turnaround of the business enabling us to focus on growth, and facilitating a shareholder exit. I left the Company in after successfully transitioning in the new General Manager.

Penguin Wholesalers was a Northland company that had been formed in 1975 and specialised in wholesale food distribution. I came in to the business in 2014 as General Manager with a clear brief to turn around non-performing business units and develop and plan a exit for the shareholders.
