Manage the MEP works of the POLO Residence Project (Meydan) . MEP Project Value of AED 90 million. Project duration 24 months. Project consists of 24 low rise residential buildings. MEP works include Electrical, HVAC (VRF system), P&D, Fire fighting works Project Team consists of Construction manager, Senior Engineers & site Engineers supported by CAD team & QAQC. Work force is close to 700 men at site Ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time withing budget. Recruit and train suitable staff and operatives for the project / company.. Welfare, Health & safety of all personal in the project. Liaise with Client, Consultant on a regular basis to improve relations and ensure customer satisfaction. Have regular meetings with Subcontractors to review progress. Submit reports and attend meeting with Senior Management . Conduct monthly safety meetings on sites to review safety issues. Assist Estimation Team for new Tender and related issues. .

Manage MEP works of the multiple Projects under me. There are 3 MEP Managers directly reporting to me, in turn managing different projects in and around UAE. Is responsible for Design, Installation, maintenance of permanent MEP & infrastructure jobs upto AED 100 million both in-house & external. Also responsible for all Temporary Services within all AFC construction sites across UAE. Manage the central team comprising of stand alone Estimation, design (Incl. CAD), procurement & commercial teams. Responsible for securing work through competitive Tender, Engineering, Procurement & timely completion in a safe manner, within budget. Ensuring that the Department generates and maintains a healthy profit margin to meet yearly Targets. Recruit and train suitable staff and operatives for the dept. Welfare, Health & safety of all personal in the department. Conduct regular Project wise Performance Management review on individual projects with respective manager / team. Liaise with Client, Consultant on a regular basis to improve relations and ensure customer satisfaction. Have regular meetings with Subcontractors to review progress. Submit reports and attend meeting with Senior Management Team during Business Unit monthly review, Organise monthly safety meetings on sites to review safety issues. Reporting to Project Director, my job is to ensure MEP team and sub-contractors carryout their responsibilities under Health & Safety legislation and in line with project specifications. Implement project specific strategies for Safety, Risk, Quality, Planning and the Environment on daily basis. Ensure the Commercial Team is fully informed of delivery cost impacts, modifications, variations and abortive works. Follow up for timely submittal and approval of materials & shop drawings. Co-ordination with Specialist Contractors from design stage to completion stage for implementation of Vertical / Horizontal Transportation system, Equipments / Systems, ELV systems etc. Review all specialist services for the requirement of utility services and interfacing with MEP systems. Liaise with MEP contractor for the approval of shop drawings for LV and Water requirements of the project starting from NOCs. Raising, Reviewing and forwarding of RFIs, Inspection Requests to consultant/client for approval. Conducting weekly Technical Workshop Meetings with Client/Consultant/MEP and Specialist Contractors. Weekly Progress Review meeting with MEP and Specialist Contractors. Coordination with Civil Project Managers, MEP contractors and other agencies on site for the smooth flow of area handovers at various stages in line with Project Construction Programme. Leading and guiding a group of MEP Managers / Engineers on site on all day-to-day activities.

Employed as Electrical Manager to lead a group of MEP professionals on the most prestigious project of Dubai Govt, to project Dubai Airport as one of the best airports of the world. The project includes the construction of Concourse 2, Terminal3 and Car Park. This was the biggest single MEP contract in the world at that time worth AED 2.7 billion and caters for the most advanced technological airport systems involving the leading specialist firms. Ensure that all the Electrical works in Terminal 3 & Car Park are carried out in accordance with the specifications & to the satisfaction of the Client/consultant. Ensure that proper Material Take offs are done as per approved shop drawings and materials are ordered & available for construction. Liaise with various specialist subcontractors & ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner. Co-ordinate with Client/Consultant/Main Contractor to ensure progress of works at site is achieved. Ensure proper manpower management to suit priority works. Ensure that project Quality control procedures are adhered to during construction. Motivation of workforce to ensure cent percent production. Ensure that proper HSE procedures are implemented during Construction. Take a prominent role in Recruitment & training of Technicians as & when required. Make sure that ISO 9002 procedures are implemented during construction.
