I lead our media/advertising data clean rooms product team. I built out use cases (e.g. targeting, measurement) and experimented to find the right mix of privacy and security technologies (e.g. differential privacy, trusted execution environments) to find market fit.

I created new products that apply privacy enhancing technology to improve consumer privacy and advertising efficiency. My key role was managing new products from conception and prototyping through initial proof of concept tests with advertisers. For creating new products, I especially relied on techniques from advanced cryptography (e.g. secure multiparty computation) and differential privacy to create a trust paradigm that aligns participant incentives and/or provides privacy guarantees.

I designed the technical architecture for Facebook’s Multi-Touch Attribution Partnership Program, and then built and maintained it. This enabled secure and accurate measurement of Facebook’s ad products by third party ad measurement providers.

I built a data warehouse and ETL system for an advertising media-mix (MMM) analysis tool used for consulting projects. I focused on migrating manual excel-based workflows to an automated modeling pipeline with reproducible and explainable results.

I lead the technical members of a consulting team deploying a proprietary social network analysis fraud detection product on several projects for major U.S. financial service companies, such as banks and insurers. My primary responsibility was coordinating technical work for a team of 4 to 6 analysts and developers on fraud prevention consulting projects.

Before becoming a tech lead, I focused on data engineering and data warehouse management for fraud prevention consulting projects. A major focus was creating stable pipelines to unify legacy data sources, e.g. figuring out how to reconcile databases after one bank acquired another.

HI-SPIN is a nuclear structure research group. I developed analysis tooling software and set up experimental apparatus. I had several projects integrating newly developed gamma ray detector prototypes with data collection systems. My work supported research on high angular momentum and super-deformed nuclear excited states -- understanding the shape and nuclear properties of heavy nuclei (e.g. tungsten) that are spinning and wobbling after being hit with a particle accelerator.

DDAS was a nuclear structure research group focused on developing faster and more accurate digital data collection, at a time when analog data collection was the norm in the discipline. My projects included modeling to improve the timing accuracy of our gamma ray detectors beyond their millisecond sampling rate, adding cache-side buffering to digital detectors to prevent disc writing errors under high volume, building digital and analog signal processing apparatus for nuclear experiments, and building computer models of physical experimental setups.
