Back in 2018, when I finished high school and was getting ready to apply for university, I came across an incident.My father being an orthopaedic surgeon, received a call from one of his friends abroad, panicking about his elderly father who became unconscious early in the morning.As we were from the same town, my dad immediately sent his junior doctor and a nurse home to find his wife crying on the bedside, thinking that the old man was no more. Upon checking him, the doctor found him to be hypoglycaemic due to diabetes and just after giving a simple glucose injection, he instantly recovered.When enquiring why he was due for his last monthly check-up, the elderly couple expressed their need to rely on a relative to help him get to a hospital.Right then, as we were discussing, a question raised between us both. “When everything can be delivered to our doorstep, why not healthcare?”. This sparked the idea for Treat at Home which I co-founded while starting my bachelors at university.After studying the market and testing for 2 years, we began operational during the Covid lockdown in May 2020 to cater to the rising need. From there, we have grown our network to a panel of more than 1400 verified medical providers among which 300+ are doctors who visit patients at home.Till now, we have served 3000+ families who have found it hard to face the hassle of waiting for someone, travelling to a hospital and queuing there for simple consultations and procedures which can be taken care of, at the comfort of their homes.With the aid of technology, we empower individual healthcare professionals to earn during free time, precisely navigate to a patient’s location while effectively managing their appointments and, envision to complete a doctor visit within 45 minutes of booking in the next 2 years.
