CurrentAs an early joiner software engineer, I lead, architected, prioritized and implemented foundational and critical functionality to shape penny into what it is today. The following were some of my tasks and achievements.- Developed and maintained APIs and microservices for request, sourcing, order and payment management, adhering to industry best practices for API design, security and documentation.- Led development of Penny’s B2B marketplace, scaling it for 200K+ products and 200+ suppliers, resulting in increase in revenue and supplier acquisition.- Led delivery of 200+ critical customer requirements for Penny’s procure-to-pay SaaS solution, resulting in the acquisition of 15+ major customers.- Refactored Nx monorepo to a modular architecture, cutting inter-module dependencies, improving build time by 50%, reducing development efforts, and increasing maintainability.- Rebuilt frontend component library, increasing reusability, improving UI consistency, and reducing development time.- Documented and performed onboarding for new team members to get up to speed on the system.- Collaborated with design, product, and sales teams, providing technical insights and streamlining the development process.- Mentored and trained junior members on best practices, contributing to the team's success with hands-on experience and guidance.
