At Veitch Lister Consulting I worked on a range of software projects using mostly Haskell, C++, and Ruby. While at CGI I had two major roles. Most recently I was the sole developer on a major application migration from Tru64 UNIX to AIX. The application itself is highly complex and comprised of a mix of technologies including C++, Pro*C, Oracle PL/SQL, Perl, Make scripts, and UNIX shell scripts. While I was involved on the project, we were able to hit our major milestones months earlier than scheduled, resulting in considerable savings for the client.Before the migration project I worked for 2 years as a member of the Production Support and Maintenance team for a high availability application at one of Australia's largest telecommunications companies. The application is used as part of the client's credit management activities, and the team provides tier 3 support.
