We built the server architecture using a 3-tier web farm which separates the Web presentation, Search & Indexing and My Sites area. Content from the existing intranet was also migrated; the existing system is developed in Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 and migrated using the Metalogix SharePoint migration tool.

The site has been developed using Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 (MCMS), C#, Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS) and MondoSearch 5.2. I worked in a team of 4 developers and helped plan and design many of the key architecture modules of the CMS system, building upon the basic framework that MCMS provides. I have also built custom controls, placeholders and extended the basic MCMS workflow. This project involves working with Lloyds internal development team and consultancy partners. This project used Agile and SCRUM methodologies with XP programming to achieve a 4 month launch possible.

The portal has been developed using the MSIB 2.5 architecture designed by Microsoft for Enterprise Web Solutions. My role in this project is of lead developer for the MCMS 2002 system workflow and design. I have been closely involved in the design of the technical architecture of this project. The architecture allows for a multi-tier development environment, staging and production environment servers. This was designed in mind of the new network architecture the Council has recently implemented. The environment has scope to allow growth and scalability for future projects throughout the council.
