As Chief of Staff for the Gonzaga Student Body Association (GSBA) I assist the GSBA President and Vice President with internal staff communication and provide assistance in a multitude of ways. I plan the week-long fall training and day-long spring training for GSBA staff which consists of about 45 members. In addition to retreat planning, I also plan 2- 3 morale events a semester to further promote an engaging and inclusive environment within the GSBA community. During executive board hiring, I work with cabinet to conduct interviews and I directly oversee the hiring process for the Florence Representative(s). Additionally, I advise the Director of Street Team, Florence Representative(s), and the Director of Sustainability. The Chief of Staff position provides me with the opportunity to practice all of my acquired skills in event planning, conflict resolution, and leadership development through retreat and morale planning, communications through weekly and other routine all-staff communications via email, GroupMe, cabinet communications, and bringing important resources to staff regarding events and DEI initiatives from offices and programming throughout the university.
