SeaBlue Shipyard Ltd. is a company based in Cochin, managed by a team of well qualified and experienced professionals to undertake ship repair, ship building and other engineering fabrication and maintenance projects. The company is the only private shipyard in Kochi with competitive infrastructure to match its business capabilities. The yard spread over 10,000 sq.m located within a distance of 3 kilometers from the Cochin mainland by road and 1 kilometer from Fort Cochin by water, is midway on the International corridor connecting Europe, Middle East and the Pacific. The prominence of the location is self explained by the fact that many of the major shipping related projects viz. International Container Trans-shipment Terminal, LNG Regasification Terminal, Single Buoy Mooring Project, International Ship Repair Complex, Cochin Shipyard, Cochin Port Trust, International Bunkering Terminal, International Cruise Terminal etc. are situated within 3 km radius of the yard.SHIPYARD INFRASTRUCTURE:The SBS team attends new build and afloat repairs of vessels in Cochin. It provides mobile squad for attending repair works at sea. SBS undertakes repairing of ships, barges, dredgers, tugs, fishing trawlers, boats, vessels and floating crafts. It also undertakes drydock repairs to small vessels up to 55m long.The Slipway, 55 Mtrs long 400 T haulage capacities will be ready in May 2009 to augment the company’s performance as envisaged and the shipyard will turn to an unchallenged project. With the readiness of drydock of size 100m x 20m x 6m in the near future will position the company in niche market segment will undisputedly monopolize the 100m segment too. The Wharf, 115 metres long wet basin is designed to suit the requirements of afloat repairs of medium sized vessels. The waterfront is connected to the main ship channel in Cochin backwaters and has draught of more than six metres.
