Dr. Ajoy Kumar is now the Country Head of JSS Medical Research India Pvt Ltd. which is a Drug Discovery KPO. He has been with JSS/Max Neeman since 2005.Prior to all he was President, Apollo Hospitals. He was the Chief Executive Officer of the Max Neeman International, a tributary of the Max India Group. He has served as the CEO of the company since May, 2005. Under the leadership of Dr. Ajoy Kumar Max Neeman International’s identity has undergone a huge transformation which has made India’s leading Contract Research Organization.In his current role as CEO of Max Neeman International he is responsible for overseeing the global business operations of the Company and is focused on stable growth, client satisfaction and long-term relationships. Dr. Kumar has a meritorious track record, and the experience of managing large business operations like Apollo Hospitals, Cumin Diesel and Tata sons. At Apollo Hospitals, Dr Kumar was responsible for overseeing operations of the group hospitals, and other businesses of Apollo. He initiated Apollo Clinical Excellence Model, Emergency Network, and development of common corporate database. And also conceptualized and implemented the disease management program for the Apollo Group, and was leader of the nationwide Apollo Heart Plan. Dr Ajoy Kumar is a MBBS holder from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry with post-graduate diplomas in business administration, hospital administration and preventive and promotional healthcare. He is also a Certified Black belt in Six Sigma.After graduating in medicine from JIPMER, Pondicherry he joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) as a Superintendent of Police, Patna. He also administered East Singhbhum including the city of Jamshedpur as Superintendent of Police. Dr. Ajoy Kumar is the recipient of Police Gallantry Medal in 1988, the youngest IPS Officer to get President’s Police Medal for Gallantry.
