I was one of the two founding members of the management team of TradeBeam and I played a key role in developing its initial product strategy as the company grew from initial startup to over $10 million in annual revenue and over 1,000 international customers. My role in the company developed rapidly over a short time from business plan development in the startup phase, to strategy development during the initial funding phase. The company was backed by prominent Silicon Valley venture capital firms including Carlyle Group, Enterprise Partners, and Charles River Ventures.TradeBeam is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) supply chain management (SCM) and Global Trade Management (GTM) software solution. The application suite enables corporate importers and exporters to increase supply chain efficiencies and increase working capital throughout their extended global network of buyers, suppliers, and trading partners. The major modules of the application suite are supply chain visibility and tracking, import and export compliance and customs clearance, inventory management, and trade finance and payments.

As an Associate within GE Capital's Structure Finance Group, I gained broad functional and sector experience through my participation in several project financings and structured finance transactions that represented the company's hallmark deals during the late 1990s. I developed global experience across infrastructure sectors, including oil and gas, power generation, marine transportation, and telecommunications.I provided comprehensive support, performing financial modeling, due diligence, and counterparty credit analysis. Aside from its role as a financial advisor on certain deals, with the benefit of the GE balance sheet, SFG was a principal investor in many deals. As such, assessed the company's investment economics and strategic motivations, and presented the deal team's business case to internal credit committee.The "entrepreunerial" nature of GE Capital allowed for an Associate to have a wide berth and to represent the deal team in negotiations with tax, legal counsel and external management. I coordinated environmental, compliance specialists, and Export Credit Agency participation.
