Cycas Investment Advisors is a SEBI registered investment advisory firm that offers clients wealth management solutions, that include portfolio advisory, tax planning and estate management services. Independent advice and a fiduciary responsibility to clients are the core tenants of Cycas’ offerings.

As strategic advisor to GroAxo I helped the company meet the burgeoning demand for its products. This multidisciplinary role involved product selection, marketing, branding, logistics, business strategy, fund raising and human resource management.

I campaigned for, and was successfully elected to the five-member Board of Directors of The Medium, the University of Toronto Mississauga's official student newspaper (http://themedium.ca). Tasked with representing 13,300 students, the Board of Directors' job was to ensure good governance of The Medium. This involved advising and supporting the Editor-in-chief, scrutinising and approving the Medium's financial results and financial operations.A key issue that I sought to rectify during my term was the restrictiveness of the Medium's constitution. The present constitution impedes decision making and efficient operations by requiring repeated physical engagement with the student body which has over time become impractical. My graduation from UTM and end of my term forced me to pass this initiative to my successors.

I worked directly with Integral's CEO and the investment banking team to analyse potential deals. This generally involved building intelligible financial models to verify a client company's financial statements and other financial information or to evaluate the effect of a proposed change in corporate structure on said company's financial statements.Additionally I was tasked with researching and compiling company/industry specific details as they related to current deals at IWM.

During this summer internship at Ventureast I examined VC exits by compiling and analysing data from industry resources. With guidance from the team at Ventureast I observed several interesting trends in the Indian VC landscape that could potentially optimise the actions of market participants.
