One of the best compliments I ever received was from a colleague (also now a good friend) who called me the "work mom" - helpful, encouraging, reliable, and knowledgeable. Ask me how I can be your organization's new work mom™ today!I consider communication to be my greatest asset in a few different ways. I can communicate information clearly and effectively both online and in-person (thank you to my education background for this). I communicate my needs and advocate for others, and I also use my communication skills as a way to organize myself and my team - making sure deadlines are met, ensuring everyone has what they need to be successful, providing quick notice when any issues occur (and then addressing them as soon as possible), with the goal of an end result that everyone can be proud of.The other side of me just wants to be creative. In work terms, this usually looks like neatly designed, colour-coded Excel sheets or detailed databases with nice cover images of a relaxing forest or the night sky. Cool things like that. I'm also extremely proud of my editing and spellchecking skills. When I'm not working, I'm an amateur author, Lego enthusiast, aspiring cake decorator, and actual mom of young children. My career and just overall life goals are to become more connected to my community and to engage in social improvement. What my dream job looks like: using my skills and experience to help advocate for human rights and equality.
