I like brainstorming and working with others to solve unique but powerful problems; no topic is beyond discussion.My day job is solving casualty disputes as a litigator and trial-lawyer in TorontoI do all the lawyer activities expected of a 15 year litigator. I am upfront about who I am: I try to be friendly to all but accept that not everyone thinks the same. Regardless, we should all be treated with respect. We should all work to live and not live to work.Humanity exists because we fail, analyze, solve, adapt, remember and then evolve. We must learn from our mistakes.I strongly advocate for my opinions but will always consider that I am wrong. I have made many mistakes and will make more in the future. I believe all information should be critically analyzed as the presentation of the issue is as important as the issue itself. People make mistakes. I’ve helped my clients receive hundreds of thousands of dollars simply by pointing out simple mathematical mistakes. There was no intent to deceive - only a failure to understand unnecessarily complex legislation.I'm always open to discussing any opportunity including: #speaking, #teaching, networking, referrals, consulting, files, contracting, co-counsel, or employment. I enjoy commenting on numerous issues related to #technology (specifically autonomous and artificial intelligence), #insurance, #law and the litigation process in general. I enjoy the finer points of the Rules of Civil Procedure and technical legal rules. I also enjoy puppies, cats, and strategic board games. My wife, kids, and family are more important than my career. My wife believes I can be overly competitive in board games because I don’t let my kids win.
