I'm currently looking for part time projects that can benefit from my years of experience.This could be hands-on R&D/ product development, or even teaching at the 2 yr college level.

Senior Research Associate Systems Integrator for the Cyrel®FAST system consisting of a photopolymer flexographic printing plate, exposure sources, and thermal processor. Coordinated development work among internal and external resources to qualify equipment and optimize the process. • Core Team Leader for two major projects, an improved analog plate and a new “2000 size” exposure source. Both involved coordinating cross-functional, multi-national teams in product development programs. • Product Steward for Cyrel®FAST Platform.

Developed photopolymer holographic materials for applications in graphic arts and security. Developed improved processes for use. Coordinated development teams at Experimental Station, DAS (Bridgeport, CT) and DuPont Holographics (Logan, Utah).• Brought 3 holographic film products to commercial production. • Worked closely with Bundesdruckerei, the German state printing office, on incorporating DuPont’s holographic film into passports and ID documents. Developed a special purpose film, negotiated specifications and provided process knowledge to the German engineering teams. Resulted in a 10 year annual sales contract for materials, which was recently renewed for another 10 years.

Managed a group of 20 professionals, supporting DuPont’s Printing and Publishing business unit. Focus on product and technology development using digital imaging technologies. • Three commercial products developed in three years, while remaining 15% under budget.• Achieved ISO 9001 and Tick-it™ (software) quality certifications. Instituted process changes which reduced customer-found bugs.• Designed test and performed data analysis for printing industry standards committee defining printed color. Published two papers and presented results at technical conference.

Led a program in color technology applied to printing and publishing businesses. * Developed projects covering all facets of the business, from electronic image capture through output devices and final press prints. * Established a color measurements laboratory. Provided measurements facilities for other DuPont organizations interested in color. .

Led the Imaging Process development group for the Electrostatic Master Proofer, a four color, four page color proofing system based on liquid toners and a permanently imaged master. • Led group of 12 scientists and engineers in understanding the physics and chemistry of a unique electrostatically imageable material, development of the latent image with a liquid toner, transfer of the image to paper, as well as process control. Quickly enabled public demonstrations of the technology. • Responsible for print quality for the EMP program. Organized efforts to identify and solve problems across the entire system.

Responsible for Imaging Process development for the EMP program. • Led a group of 12 people which developed the basic imaging technology for the EMP machine. Integrated technology into a prototype EMP machine which was demonstrated at a trade show. • Contributed to technology of image development, image transfer and process control. Received two patents.• Developed liquid electrostatic toner process and formulations. • Developed improved process allowing manufacture of colored toners. Three patents issued.• Established the liquid toner development lab, and the first large scale toner manufacturing equipment. Enabled rapid formulation development and scale-up.• Participated in imaging process work which led to the establishment of the EMP program.

Developed polymeric anti-static backing layers for silver halide films. Technology incorporated into a commercial anti-static base for graphic arts films. Two patents issued.

Formulated a new pigment composition for automotive paints. Brought formulation through semi-works to commercialization. * Developed synthesis of a key ingredient for this product. Developed process and brought into production. * Two patents issued.

Various organic synthesis projects focused on "crown ether" compounds for pharmaceutical applications.
