Azahir جمعية أزاهر is a community based NGO working in the most marginalized areas of northern Lebanon to empower vulnerable children and refugees in conflict-prone areas like Akkar and Nahr el Bared Camp.Azahir employs local youth and provides critical education & psycho-social support (PSS) to children with war trauma through arts, sports and literacy programs. Notably we support out-of-school children and those in need of remedial support, and extend our services such as health referrals to local families who are facing severe challenges in the camp conditions. Our advanced PSS sessions for mothers have been an important pillar of our work and to the community.Azahir organizes regular cultural heritage and celebration events to bring communities together and embrace our deep historical roots and traditions and build peace and cohesion.
