Real Time Operating System development for Data Access (DART OS)• Modified UNIX file system (UFS) to support 2GB+ files by adding support in the inode structure and code to handle 64 bit file offsets.• Improved overall throughout by redesigning the buffer cache mechanism in the VFS layer to allow I/O speeds to be independent of the file size.• Invented a collector mechanism that allows a common pool of service threads to accept and service requests simultaneously over TCP and UDP protocols resulting in efficient resource utilization.• Designed and implemented a TCP streams module that allows NFSv2 and v3 protocol to work over TCP and UDP.
