I worked at Ford Credit and Ford Motor Company for 33 years. I retired on Jan 1, 2007 as President of Ford Credit North America. I was also a Vice President of the parent, Ford Motor Company. During my tenure as President of Ford Credit North America we generated over $11 billion in pretax profits. My career was well balanced in those 33 years, touching all the functional disciplines.Currently, I formerly served on the board of Walter Energy (NYSE:WLT) and I chaired the Compensation and Human Resources , and was on their Environmental, Health, and Safety Committee. I was formerly on their Audit Committee and chaired their Integration Committee. In March, 2014 I also joined the Board of Directors at Exeter Finance Corp, a privately held subprime auto lender , principally of used vehicle purchasers. I'm also on the advisory board of two privately held companies (Channelnet, and Inilex ) who principally serve the auto industry. .Finally, I consult to P/E and Hedge Fund managers about the auto industry and auto lending. MY GOAL is to join additional public company boards.Specialties: I have a breadth of knowledge in the auto industry and in auto lending. I have significant experience managing a multi-billion dollar P&L and a workforce of over 10,000 employees. My specific skills include risk management, sales, marketing, business development and operating management.
