I am a community advocate as well as a social and behaviour change communicator seeking social and racial justice, and health and wellbeing for all. I have over 40 years of experience in the field of communication, gaining expertise in journalism, internal and external communications, and community participatory engagement.Taking nebulous concepts and crafting them into practical and actionable tactics is what I enjoy. I thrive on helping people understand how the big picture fits into their lives, whether in the workplace, at home or socially, so they can make informed decisions about their livelihood.Over the years, I have written numerous articles primarily for newspapers and magazines. I co-authored a book on Barbados and am editor of a few others.In addition to my role as an editor, my focus is on helping non-profit organizations and small businesses set up and grow their operations. In this role, I advocate for the upliftment of these communities. I work tirelessly with community partners to dismantle anti-Black and other forms of racism and break down systemic barriers that continue to negatively affect racialized and marginalized people.
