My name is Akaash Chandra and I'm an independent musical artist and producer from Shaker Heights, Cleveland, Ohio. I enjoy collaboration in all aspects, both in my work and in my day-to-day life. I'm currently working at the Chandra Law Firm as an Intake Specialist and Video/Audio Editor. I compose and produce music for various audio visual content associated with online brands including clothing stores and documentaries. I draft social media releases on modern hip-hop and popular culture and help promote the work of independent musical artists through the social media organization Nama's World. In May 2023, I had the pleasure of working with a fellow student to organize the music for a student-organized fashion event at the Westphal College of Media Arts and Design called the "Garbage Gala." I met with event coordinators to plan the length of each playlist, specifics on whatever creative ideas everyone had, and where to set up audio equipment. We cultivated three playlists with both personal content and content created by students in Drexel’s Music Industry program. In May 2024, I had the honor to help plan the music again for the "Garbage Gala" event and worked as the events music director for the event developement, marketing, and promotion.
