81St Armored Brigade Combat Team

I provide human resources technical expertise to enable the effective HR management of the 3,800 men and women of the 81st Armored Brigade Combat Team. I review and interpret Army regulations and policy to determine the implications to HR. I analyze, develop, and integrate HR metrics to improve processes that effect the readiness of the organization to accomplish our mission. I provide training and development to our tactical HR shops in subordinate units.

Human Resources Office

I provided HR expertise to manage the 500+ fulltime Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) employees in the Washington Army National Guard. I specialized in the project management for the lifecycle administration of AGR employees. I managed and coordinated the retirement of AGR employees, assisting them in accessing their pay and benefits to ease their transition from the military. I effectively maintained an annual budget of over $1.4 million to hire temporary employees and relocate transferring AGR employees. HRIS manager of AGR employees in the Defense Civilian Personnel Database.

66Th Theater Aviation Command

I provided HR technical expertise to streamline, and enhance the efficiency of the HR section. Developed and refined processes to provide proactive HR support to employees. Provided HR metrics and data to assist leaders within the organization to formulate plans and make informed decisions.

Recruiting And Retention Battalion

Created programs to support the long-term success of identifying, recruiting, and developing future leaders of the Alaska Army National Guard (AK ARNG). Developed the satellite ROTC detachment concept with leaders from UAA, ROTC, and AK ARNG. Hosted a Military Ministry Convocation at Wayland Baptist University to communicate the Chaplaincy program to the community. Refined the recruiting process for aviation pilots by developing the Warrant Officer Flight Training selection program. Led the Recruit Sustainment Program increasing the attendance and ship rates of new enlisted Soldiers.

Served six years in the Air Defense, Light Armored Vehicles and Security Forces fields. I was stationed at Cherry Point, Camp Pendleton, USS Constellation, USS Guam, USS Wasp, and USS Tortuga. I deployed with 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit in 1994, II Marine Expeditionary Force Forward in 1995, and USS Constellation in 1997.
