This required a working knowledge of adult learning styles and Microsoft Suite. During my time there, our organization experienced rapid growth, so I had the chance to help design policies, join fundraising activities, and participate in strategic planning. In addition, I planned community outreach activities and our annual volunteer recognition banquet. Strong interoffice communication and interpersonal skills were necessary to meet the needs of our team. The cultural diversity among our students gave me a lot of opportunity to learn and grow. For example, our students helped me learn Spanish while they were learning English! I was privileged to be able to write letters of reference and nominate outstanding volunteers for community awards.
