As policy assistant for the Dutch Foundation for Literature (Het Nederlands Letterenfonds), I am responsible for coordinating subsidies, quality assessments of translations, and more. My role at the foundation extends beyond policy, where I act as the primary liaison between Japanese publishers and the Dutch embassy in promoting Dutch literature.Specifically, my role extends to responsibilities such as:- Coordinating travel grants- Coordinating quality assessments of translations- Department representation with other literary organizations (Literatuur Vlaanderen, Taalunie, ELV)- Country specialist liaising with Japanese publishers & Dutch embassy- Matchmaking between Japanese and Dutch publishing houses - Handling promotional material of literature (online & events)- Event planning contributions for international events (Frankfurt Buchmesse)- Mentorship and workshop facilitation
