As a mentee in the Industry Mentoring Program, I was paired with a mentor from Commonwealth Bank, gaining insight into the cybersecurity field. This experience involved participating in a mock design challenge and a mock interview centre, which sharpened my soft skills and provided practical applications of security engineering principles.

Through this empowering five-month program, I engaged in comprehensive professional development initiatives, including mock interviews and bi-weekly mentorship meetings with an industry professional from Atlassian. This mentorship deepened my understanding of the tech industry and provided invaluable insights into corporate operations and career pathways. I participated in a mock assessment centre and engaged in mock interviews, which sharpened my interview skills and prepared me for real-world job applications. In this role, I supported daily retail operations at a busy supply store, assisting with inventory management and customer service. I honed my skills in sales processing and problem resolution while also managing merchandising and maintaining strong client relationships to boost repeat business.

I was involved in stocking and organising products, handling transactions, and advising customers on product suitability for events.
