Led the development of a novel, rechargeable, bioelectronic therapy platform with IP protection in a 1cc MRI safe package from feasibility to IDE submission in under 5 years.

Synapse Strategy helps medical device companies innovate their product and service portfolio to drive shareholder value. Synapse specializes in strategic planning, product definition, operational improvement and go to market plans for companies from VC funded start-ups to fortune 500 device companies. Developed and implemented a successful public health campaign involving CDC, FDA, three device makers and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. Developed and executed all aspects of highly successful medical device recall.

Responsible for all areas of marketing including communications, public relations, key opinion leader development, brand management, customer training, sales training, product management and other related marketing functions. The marketing team developed and implemented all aspects (product conception to training to life-cycle management) of go to market strategies for a $110million product line. Delivered one of the most well executed launches in industry history with the Harmony HiResolution Bionic Ear system, leading to growth in excess of 20%.

Provided strategic consulting related to business development and marketing for leading medical device companies such as Stryker (Spine), GE (Navigation), Carl Zeiss, Aloka (Ultrasound), Smith + Nephew (Orthopaedics), Medtronic (Public Relations), Gyrus (ENT) and others. Delivered executive level strategic business consulting along with hands-on assistance in executing marketing and business plans to achieve business objectives.

Directed the neuro and ENT marketing program for the most successful product in the surgical navigation space--the StealthStation system--from inception through to market leadership with greater than 70% market share. Worked as a Sr. Product Manager and Director of Marketing for Sofamor Danek prior to and after being acquired by Medtronic.

Worked with KOLs, marketing, manufacturing and suppliers to develop industry leading endoscopy, instrument and implants solutions for spine, otology, plastic surgery and sinus surgery. Developed and helped launch more than five comprehensive instruments systems, seven endoscopy components and more than 15 endoscopes, including the first generation of autoclavable rod lens endoscopes.
