Hello, I'm Akash, a Software Engineer and Entrepreneur with a passion for problem-solving and innovation. I'm on a mission to make the world a happier place to live in, using technology.Currently being a Founding Member and the sole engineering hire at Formi, I am privileged to have the ownership to build products end-to-end to help the hospitality industry with their day-to-day operations to make it easy for them to deliver the best experiences and services to their guests and save costs wherever they can in the process.Before Formi, I founded Toddlyy, a startup aimed at making a positive impact in the kid's space.At Toddlyy, I spearheaded a team of four on a mission to create enduring memories for 25 million kids aged 2-10. Our goal was to connect parents with fun and enriching activities and events happening in their vicinity.We successfully orchestrated the organization of four children's events receiving positive feedback while it was operational. Our initial iteration helped parents find curated daycares on an ad-hoc basis. Before Toddlyy, I worked as a Software Engineer(Analyst level) for 1.5 years in the Investment Systems team at BlackRock to help provide trading capabilities and decision support to portfolio managers. I have experience with backend technologies like Django, FastAPI and Java Spring Boot, mobile technologies like Android and Flutter, desktop development tools like Java Swings and C#, and cloud technologies like AWS. I'm proficient in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Being part of an agile development team, I'm familiar with modern tools and environments like web services, version control systems, bug tracking systems, containerization platforms, etc. I have worked on API, WebSocket, and Webhook integrations with multiple providers like Exotel, Twilio, GupShup, Meta, and OpenAI.I pursued my B. Tech in Computer and Communication Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and have a firm hold on the concepts of Data Structures & Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, and Database Management.
