Responsible for analysis, validation and leading development of all chassis structural parts; from single quasi static single component analysis to fully dynamic vehicle system models. This role involves regular communication with various neighbouring teams(vehicle dynamics, MBS, loads, design, programs) to ensure a robust, yet optimised solution has been identified. Support is also provided to test engineers to help understand failure mechanisms seen on validation runs using CAE. In addition to current program work, there is an active exposure to technical development projects that involve developing and documenting new procedural guidelines to support the team in further instances.

Responsible for the design and analysis of tailored thermal systems across various industries and actively involved in Automotive, Aerospace, Powergen and Diesel applications. The role involves performing mechanical and thermal analysis to determine suitability in the most demanding enviroments. Whilst working closely with customers and utilising a mixture of traditional hand calculations, CFD and FEA, the most efficient and economical solutions can be realised. The role is also focused on identifying and qualifying new materials through physical testing in Darchem's Flare facility which provides a physical platform to validate theoretical thermal analysis. Once materials have been determined and a thermally compliant soloution arrived at, the design can begin using software such as Catia V5 and Solidworks to model parts, prepare drawings and define BOM's
