On-site intern for the Innovative Biomaterials Lab (Yuhan Lee Lab) at BWH, which is under the Center for Accelerated Medical Innovation (CAMI) and the Center for Nanomedicine. Engaging in multidisciplinary research to design, prototype, and test biomedical devices. Working with a special focus on the electrophysiology of the gastrointestinal tract and developing solutions for convenient diagnosis and treatment of gastric motility disorders.

Investigated gastrointestinal physiology to further research understanding. Publication has been accepted to Nature Reviews Bioengineering in principle pending final reviewer comments.

Leveraged intricacies of electrophysiology in the gastointestinal tract under the guidance of Dr. Youngbok (Abraham) Kang to develop solutions for noninvasive diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal motility disorders.

Research intern at the OHSU Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics, specifically in the Nakai Lab under Dr. Hiroyuki Nakai. Developed computational tools that rewrote viral genes in real-time to maximize the durability of adeno-associated viruses in production.

Research Intern at OHSU and VA's joint department of nephrology under Dr. Michael Hutchens. Developed novel methods to identify the affect of AKI on kidney tissue samples. Co-authored a publication in Military Medicine.

Worked as a Legislative Aide in the office of Oregon State Representative Lisa Reynolds to draft and amend various House and Senate bills pertaining to the rights of intellectually and developmentally disabled adults and children.
