These antennas are designed to be stowed in a compact form during launch and then deployed or "unfurled" once in space. The main advantage of such antenna is its ability to provide large aperture size while minimizing the volume and mass during launch. Chandrayaan-3 is the third mission of the Chandrayaan program, a series of lunar exploration missions developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The mission consisted of a Vikram lunar lander, a Pragyan lunar rover, and a propulsion module that carried the spacecraft from Earth's orbit to lunar orbit.
