I had the opportunity to work on the CVICU as well as the Cardiac Surgery Post-Rehab Floor, allowing me to contribute to the continuity of care. My responsibilities included :- Provide supportive care to patients including specific treatments and procedures related to daily living- Perform EKGs, bladder scans, vitals signs, etc to monitor patient progress - Collaborate with doctors and nursing staff to determine patient care plans

Selected to lead a team of undergraduate researchers from across the United Statesby mentoring them in the creation of a meta-analysis on cancer-disparities in order to identify gaps in clinical/translational research and propose new screening methods.

As a research intern, I collaborated with undergraduate and graduate students across the country to propose, conduct, and write systematic literature reviews on polycystic ovary syndrome and Alzheimer’s prognosis. I helped gather data from over 100 sources and presented my findings to my team during weekly meetings. Recently, I assisted in a Cellular Deconvolution Study on Basal Cell Carcinoma and contributed to its publication.

At the Sabatini Lab- HMS, I had the opportunity to work on a project studying locomotion behavior using mice models. My responsibilities included: - Devising behavioral assays and trials - Performing perfusions of mice for experimental studies- Using Cryostat machinery to section mice brains for histology studies - Performing antibody stainings to target/label cells and observe neural changes in protein expression- Attending weekly lab meetings to learn about ongoing projects and further my understanding of neuroscience
