At Sharekhan BNP Paribas Financial Services, as Chief Risk Officer (March 2018 - March 2019), I played a pivotal role in the launch of MSME and consumer loan products. I spearheaded the development of policies and risk frameworks for three credit programs, receiving group risk approval. Additionally, I was instrumental in creating scorecards using trading data and developing ECL models. Within just eight months, I transitioned the project from planning to launch readiness and was a key member of the management team overseeing the transition of the project from BNP to Oppo.

I successfully set up the Merchant Finance business, which involved developing products, policies, and IT systems. Within a year, I led the disbursement of ₹100 crore across 3,000 loans. I was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing innovative solutions such as TAB Loans and Merchant Receivable Financing to streamline the lending process.

In this role, I managed the policy and portfolio for various lending products, including SME, Digital Finance, Health Care Equipment, Commercial Vehicles, and Mortgages, with an AUM of ₹20,000 crore. I focused on implementing credit scorecards for instant decision-making, developing early warning indicators, and re-engineering collection processes to enhance operational efficiency and risk management.

- Develop and Implement Policy and Process for Asset Securitisation & Priority Sector Loans- New Inorganic structures like Co-origination, Direct Distribution to acquire Priority Sector Loans- Evaluated & executed Securitisation / Portfolio buyout transaction worth INR 15000 Million- Evaluated Direct Assignment transaction in ‘Non Credit Enhancement’ environment - Managing Due Diligence for Portfolio Buyouts, Financial Projections, Loss Assessment, Approval, Integration and Stress testing / Portfolio Management post acquiring the portfolio - Develop / re-aligning Mortgages Credit Policy to Market dynamics, based on market feedback and competition mapping while ensuring the adequate Risk Guardrails.- Ensuring compliance to Loss Recognition Policy and Local regulations

Key responsibility includes - Review of various functions (incl. Policy, Sales, Underwriting, Operations and collection) across consumer banking & SME business to ensure adherence to Regulatory norms, Group guidelines and accepted practices and procedures and identify & assess operational risk element and its potential impact on group reputation and profitability.

I was handling sales function in Business Banking Group offering various Trade & Working capital finance products incl. Cash Credit, Overdraft, Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantee, Invoice & LC discounting and term loans etc. Key responsibilities include Identifying Potential Clients; structuring financial Products suiting their need, preparing appraisal notes, presenting proposals to underwriters, disbursement, client servicing and channel partner management.

Joined as Area Credit Manager for Two wheeler finance at Jabalpur (MP) and then consistently assessed for higher potential by senior management, was gradually offered larger responsibilities in my 3&½ tenor with ICICI Bank.
