I am a tree-hugger, and a forest-mountain-ocean lover, and am passionate about addressing the socio-ecological crises we face today. My lebensaufgabe (life's work) is dedicated to fostering systems change initiatives that promote collective action to empower more people to be changemakers towards a more sustainable and equitable world.I am committed to co-creating a world where people can have healthy and meaningful relationships with each other and with nature. I have been working on this since 2009 through:1) Supporting Changemakers build Strategies & Strategic Connections to Maximize Systemic ImpactI support changemakers in building their theory of change (strategies) utilizing systems thinking, design thinking, and collaborative approaches, and match them with leaders from businesses, social orgs and consultancies. My experience spans:- Ashoka, Let’s Enterprise, Pachamama Alliance, Blekinge Institute of Technology: As a thought partner for 74 organization leaders, I have helped build impactful strategies in sustainability, communication, and fundraising using various systems thinking and design thinking tools and participatory techniques.- University of Iowa, EcoFriends Community: I have led 20 design thinking projects (e.g., integrating waste management practices and enhancing cross-cultural interactions) and led 5 systems change projects addressing issues like environmental restoration, equity, discrimination, education, and climate change.- Clothing Closet at Iowa, Climate KIC, Ashoka, EcoFriends Community: I have created experimental spaces to convene stakeholders, fostering collaboration towards a common vision to solve shared problems.2) Empowering Young ChangemakersI focus on changemaker education (sustainability and entrepreneurship), leadership development, and community engagement to build the leadership capacities of young people. With aim to equip them with competencies in collaboration, and systems and design thinking, enabling them to create meaningful lives for themselves and contribute to positive impact in any field they choose. Through my experience at EcoFriends Community, University of Iowa and Let's Enterprise since 2009 I have: - Worked hands-on with 349 youth, mentoring them on projects, and connecting them with enterprising professionals across various fields.- Designed and facilitated workshops and events for over 4,000 youth, encouraging their involvement in changemaking, reflecting on their growth areas, and exploring diverse career pathways.
