Kia Ora I’m Akash.I’ve spent over a decade working as a corrosion engineer on billion-dollar projects across the UAE and Africa. In 2013, I moved to New Zealand, fell in love with the culture, and decided to make it my home.My career began in the high-stakes world of oil and gas, where I managed large-scale pipeline projects for global giants like Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, and Dubai International Airport. As I advanced in my career, I began to see striking parallels between the vulnerabilities in physical infrastructure and the growing digital threats businesses face today. The realization that these two worlds - oil and gas and cybersecurity - shared a common theme of protecting against unseen, but potentially catastrophic, threats sparked a new passion in me.Driven by the increasing number of cyberattacks and their devastating impact, I made a bold shift from the energy sector to cybersecurity. My experience in the energy sector has given me a unique perspective on cybersecurity threats, and I’m excited to apply this knowledge to help protect businesses globally. I believe that Capture The Bug has the potential to play a critical role in defending against cyberattacks, ensuring that businesses of all sizes can operate securely.When I’m not focused on cybersecurity, I love to travel and dive into interesting research on quantum physics. I’m also a huge supporter of Kiwi tech and passionate about applying diverse approaches to solve complex problems.
