🔸Enhancing energy efficiency through international cooperation: Notable efforts include galvanising momentum in the G20 forum to double global energy efficiency progress by 2030, coordinating cooling energy efficiency improvements under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, and co-authoring influential reports such as the Global Cooling Watch report. I have co-created a holistic methodology for developing national cooling action plans in collaboration with leading organisations, facilitating the creation of such plans in multiple Global South countries.🔸Leveraging data analytics and modelling for building sector energy efficiency: This includes advocating for data disclosure & benchmarking policies and building performance standards in commercial buildings in India, and strengthening national modelling efforts. I have benchmarked the energy performance of hospitals and airports in India. Additionally, I have chronicled Infosys’ data-driven carbon neutrality journey to extract valuable insights for policymakers and enterprise owners.🔸Catalysing policy action and funding for climate-friendly cooling: I played a pivotal role in developing the pioneering India Cooling Action Plan 2019. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, this plan spurred policy action and accelerated funding for climate-friendly cooling initiatives in India. My contributions included data analysis, goal aggregation, and coordination with key stakeholders to create a cohesive and impactful plan.
