AoL Graduate Assistant for Prof. Jacqueline Einstein and Prof. Rui HuangCharlton College of Business, UMassDThe AoL (Assurance of Learning) process is a data-driven continuous improvement approach designed to enhance students' learning outcomes. As part of my role, I am responsible for conducting quantitative analysis on students' data, which is collected through Rubric metrics. I utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to gain valuable insights into students' performance and identify areas for improvement.Additionally, my responsibilities extend to performing qualitative analysis on feedback and comments gathered from various sources, such as focus groups and mentors. This qualitative data complements the quantitative analysis by providing a deeper context and understanding of the student's experiences and challenges.Quantitative and qualitative analysis are used in conjunction to provide a holistic view of the continuous improvement process. We develop comprehensive reports that highlight overall progress and opportunities for growth in students' learning journeys by combining both methodologies. These insights are instrumental in refining educational strategies, implementing targeted interventions, and ultimately elevating the quality of education provided.
