Working in the electricity generation industry, I am involved in asset management (power plant engineering) of high-value, critical, and high-availability assets like power generation turbines, generators, and generator transformers. Intergrating data from the DCS (PIS) system of ABB, Siemens, GE, Alstom and Yokogawa via OPC UA and AVEVA Wonderware OI Gateway to a central entrerprise historian.Enabling online condition monitoring systems using enterprise real-time control and monitoring systems like VibroSysTM Zoom and Bently Nevada System 1 Evo.Not only am I involved in the implementation of these systems on the OT side, I'm also involved in the implementation on the IT application side, integrating both the OT and IT sides via various firewalls into the DMZ.Parts of my job involve working with the 3rd party vendors to implement the OT side, with onsite technical project management (hosting and advising the 3rd party as well as coordination with internal processes, people, and technology), often advising and achitecting solutions to meet on-the-job challenges.

Responsible for managing the enterprise ideation management system, and fulfilling the role of internal innovation consultant.During my time in this role, I was involved in a few enterprise scale business transformation (cost savings) programs aimed at innovation and reducing business costs forced on by the worldwide death spiral of the coal-based electricity generation business.In these programs, I worked closely with external consultants Deloittes and BCG. I provided direct innovation consultation to the executive heads of the programs and worked closely with the project managers and the leadership of these teams with ideation consultation and management in tracking the ideas proposals and ideation flow.I've also facilitated a few ideation workshops in these programmes.In this position, I fulfilled the following scope of work:-1. Project managed the development and implementation of the ideation platform for the entire enterprise.Overall accountability for the management and maintenance of the Ideation Platform (iZone website and database)High level Information Management Developing and improving innovation challenges:-driving ideation for the sourcing of valuable ideas that support Eskom’s strategic goals.Innovation Marketing, RT&D Awareness, Networking , Collaboration and Stakeholder management (Internal & External) - Interaction with external industry counterparts, 3rd party and related stakeholders.Managed the process of the Innovation Circuit Management System
