Worked as a Researcher at the Department of Medicine, University of Cambridge with the finest and one of the leading experts on infectious diseases, Dr Ankur Mutreja, on the following two projects:• Malawi: Prepared a Country Diagnostics Report for Malawi to deliver the first ever and the quickest Cholera pathogen detection kit (detection time reduced from 2-3 days to ~3 hours).• India: Conducted an assessment of the impact of Covid-19 on India’s Universal Immunization Program and its implications for the economy.

• Econometric Analysis: Gathered and harmonized data, estimated the size and economic costs of informal economy using OLS in conjunction with Mimic Model, producing summary statistics and stylized facts on productivity and economic growth.• Consulting: Recommended an optimal tax design & improved tax enforcement to reduce informality & increase government revenues, supported by empirical analysis on Senegalese economy and qualitative analysis of cross-country studies.• Client Engagement: Presented recommendations to the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, Government of Senegal in Dakar (March 2020) to contribute to policy dialogue on informality and tax policy.

-Elected as Member of the Council to represent a strong community of 12,000 students at London School of Economics and Political Science -The Council is the Governing body of the School, with ultimate strategic responsibility for the affairs of the School. Council is also the Trustee/Company Board and its 17 members are the Trustee/Company Directors. It's role is to oversee decisions about the educational character and mission of the School and to ensure the School's financial & operational viability. The council members are elected by the Court under the Memorandum and Articles of Association.

-An elected representative, chosen by an electorate of 12,000 strong student community of LSE in the MIchaelmas elections to serve as Member of the Court of Governors-The Court of Governors is one of the highest decision-making bodies at LSE, second only to the Council in its scope and authority. The court discusses all key issues relating to school policy, as well as dealing with constitutional matters as and when they arise-My role includes providing support to the Director and the Council of the University in their roles, as well as acting an ambassador for the University

• Qualitative data analysis: Undertook rigorous analysis to contribute practical and implementable recommendations to develop the DataLiteracy Curriculum (successfully implemented in Nepal) and synthesized a report on ODRA in Ukraine.• Quantitative data analysis: Gathered, processed and transform data for Bank’s volume on M & E in the FCV countries.• Participated in team meetings and supported the planning for the Bank’s events, having coordinated correspondence, arranged event logistics, supported communications and program planning for “Future Capital” conference held at I2-250 at the Bank from Sept. 16-17.

• Wrote an approach paper on tariff rationalization- creating a revenue surplus and financially sustainable model for the discoms in the power sector to ensure their financial sustainability through a five-pronged approach- prudent cost recovery, simplification of tariff schedule, time-of-use metering, cost-reflective tariffs and doing away with cross-subsidisation; learned the intricacies of Now-Casting.

• Consulting: Researched inputs for bills, parliamentary questions, policy discussions and standing committee meetings; assisted in budgeting of the constituency, produced analytical pieces on macroeconomic issues affecting the Indian economy• Qualitative & quantitative data analysis: Collected, compiled & analyzed state-wide time series data on saline groundwater problem in agriculture, affecting productivity on >3.2L hectares of land. Variables used included cultivable land, crop productivity and soil salinity/alkalinity• Proactive Governance: Designed citizen engagement mechanisms implemented throughout project cycle to inform policymaking and receive feedback on quality of services. Winner, with the highest margin ever, the college’s history has ever seen since 1928.• Ideated, organized and managed the finances of the largest undergraduate Business Festival of India, ‘BUSINESS CONCLAVE’ and the second largest Cultural Festival of India, ‘CROSSROADS’, featured in/covered by Times of India and The Hindu ~18 Million+ readership, ~ 287 Million+ viewership.• Both events saw a Budget of over USD 220,000 with 60,000+ turnout over the seven days of the festival.• Organized the first ever ‘Clean & Green SRCC campaign’ in SRCC, YOGA sessions.• Set up a Regional Sensitization Cell for holistic development of students cutting across different Indian cultures, religion, belief, etc.• Managed team dynamics & anti-corruption within the union and completed my tenure with a rare feat of financial surplus.
