Akash is currently working as a Product Manager 2 in Microsoft. He is a part of the Outlook Time Management team where he primarily owns calendar sharing and meeting collaboration. He has completed the flagship two-year MBA program from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, a top B-school in India. He is passionate about products, technology and data. He enjoys cross-functional roles and his interests include product, marketing and strategy.He has interned with Microsoft and BigBasket in product management roles where he took a customer centric approach to identifying and solving the major pain points. In Microsoft, as a summer intern, he was involved in the end to end process of product conceptualization - from charting the customer journey, formulating hypotheses, driving customer validation, abstracting pain points, solutioning and prioritization. He also drafted a specification sheet defining scope, user stories, functional requirements and key success metrics.Prior to his MBA, he worked in the IT consulting industry for 24 months where he was a part of multiple projects across different geographies and sectors including e-governance, B2B marketing and retail. He has extensively worked in implementing digital solutions for clients in setting up and managing profitable business units leveraging technology.He has completed his engineering from IEM, Kolkata in electronics and communications. Apart from academics, he exceled in several other activities, from sports to robotics. He is an active problem solver with top three finishes in multiple robotics and coding competitions.He also loves playing football and table tennis, listening to classic rock music as well as gazing the stars in a clear night sky.
